Mission, History & Quick Facts
The mission of the Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland is to improve the quality of life by providing a vehicle that promotes philanthropy.
With the guidance of a strong board made up of highly respected and proven community leaders, the CFGL offers support to local non-profit organizations and awards grants with the goal of fostering positive change.
But it all begins with you. All it takes is an individual, with an aspiration for philanthropy and a wish to make things better. You don't need a lot of money to start. And you don't have to have a lawyer and professional accountant to write up a contract (although we recommend utilizing your professional advisors, if available, to help you achieve your overall objectives). All you need is five minutes to fill out a donor interest form (which will help us develop a custom fund agreement that best suits your charitable and financial goals), and a passion you wish to explore. We will help you do the rest.
