The Foundation holds an annual grant orientation in which all nonprofit organizations 501 (C) (3) are required to attend if they intend to submit an application for funding. Each organization is encouraged to submit programs that are in need of funding. The CFGL reviews the applications to ensure that they are programs of need and meet CFGL guidelines. Approved applications are then reviewed by our Grants Committee to determine funding availability. Next, the Foundation creates a communiqué called Impact Lakeland, for programs that did not receive funding from the CFGL Grants Committee Fund. The grant requests are listed with a brief explanation detailing the initiative. Impact Lakeland is distributed to all CFGL donors and made available to our community at large.
