How it works

The Foundation holds an annual orientation in which all nonprofit organizations 501 (C) (3) are required to attend if they intend to submit an application for funding. Each organization is encouraged to submit to the Foundation programs in which are in need of funding. The CFGL reviews the applications to ensure that they are programs of need and meet Foundation guidelines. Approved applications are then reviewed by our Grant Committee to determine funding availability. Next, the Foundation creates a brochure, Impact Lakeland Booklet, in which programs that did not receive funding from the Impact Lakeland Grant Committee Fund are listed with a brief explanation detailing their initiative. Impact Lakeland is distributed to all CFGL donors and made available to our community at large.
