The CFGL Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Terry Simmers has been named President/CEO starting November 1, 2011.
Simmers has served as CFO for the CFGL since 2008 and will replace John W. Fitzwater who is retiring at the end of this month.
“It’ll be a new challenge”, Simmers said. “It’s an honor to take the lead for an organization that I firmly believe in.”
A native of Pennsylvania, Simmers is a graduate of Robert Morris University and with a business degree, majoring in accounting. He and his family relocated to Florida in 1973 and spent 35 years in the community as a business leader.
Charles McPherson, board chair stated that “Terry excelled as our CFO and the position of President/CEO is a natural fit.”
