Establishes Haiti Quake Relief Fund
Lakeland, FL – As part of the emergency relief efforts for Haiti, the Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland has established the Community Foundation Emergency Relief Fund to help Haiti and its people recover from the devastating January 12 earthquake.
Through the Community Foundation Emergency Relief Fund, gifts from donors, corporations and the community will be sent to organizations working to provide critical assistance to help Haiti following the worst earthquake to hit that region in more than 200 years.
CFGL President, John Fitzwater stated “In the wake of this enormous human tragedy, it is our wish to assist those in our community that want to reach out and help. Whether you have the ability to donate thousands of dollars or ten dollars, all donations are welcomed and encouraged”. Fitzwater went on to explain “100% of each donation will reach the organizations providing relief”.
